Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. General

PrintForgeIL (“we”, “the studio”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who it is shared with and what your rights are. It is written in the spirit of the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and its regulations, including Amendment 13, and the Protection of Privacy (Data Security) Regulations, 5777-2017.

Using the site, contacting us and placing an order constitute agreement to this policy.

2. Who we are

PrintForgeIL — a 3D printing studio operating from Netanya, Israel. A registered business.

For any privacy or data matter, contact us via the contact page.

3. What information we collect

Information you give us voluntarily:

  • Full name, phone number and email address
  • Delivery or pickup address
  • Order content and our correspondence (WhatsApp, email, site form)
  • Files, photos and materials you send us for the purpose of the order — see section 5 below
  • Colour, size, material and technical preferences

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, cookie data (section 7).

Payment information: credit card details are not collected and not stored by us. Processing happens directly with the payment provider and the commerce platform (Shopify), which are PCI-DSS compliant. We only see payment confirmation.

4. Why we use the information

  • To fulfil the order — to produce, paint and ship
  • To contact you, approve a preview and provide after-sales service
  • To meet legal obligations — invoicing, bookkeeping and reporting to the tax authorities
  • To improve the site and the service
  • To send marketing messages — only with your explicit consent (section 6)

5. Files, photos and content you send us

Part of our service is based on material you transfer to us — 3D files (STL, 3MF, OBJ and similar), photographs, sketches, logos and text. This section governs responsibility for that material — please read it carefully.

5.1 Customer declaration regarding rights

By sending us a file, photograph or any other content, you declare and undertake that:

  • You are the owner of the rights in the content, or you hold an explicit lawful licence or permission to use it commercially and to manufacture a physical item from it;
  • The content does not infringe copyright, trade marks, registered designs, patents, moral rights or any third-party right;
  • If the content includes the likeness of a person — you have that person's consent to the use of their image, as required under section 2(6) of the Protection of Privacy Law. For the likeness of a minor — the consent of a parent or guardian;
  • The content is not intended for any unlawful, dangerous or offensive use.

5.2 We are under no duty to verify

We do not check and cannot check who owns the rights in a file or photograph you send. We rely solely on your declaration under section 5.1. Accepting the file, printing it or delivering the finished product does not constitute approval, verification or confirmation of the rights in the content.

5.3 Liability and indemnity

Full responsibility — legal and financial — for content sent to us and for its use rests solely with the customer. The studio bears no liability whatsoever for any infringement of third-party rights arising from content supplied by the customer.

The customer undertakes to indemnify and compensate PrintForgeIL, its owners and anyone acting on its behalf, for any claim, demand, legal proceeding, damage, loss or expense (including legal fees and court costs) caused as a result of a breach of the undertakings in section 5.1, immediately upon first demand.

5.4 Right to refuse

We may refuse to carry out an order, before or during production, at our sole discretion and without any duty to give reasons — including where there is a concern about infringement of rights, where the item is a copy of a commercial product, where it is a weapon or weapon-like item, or where the content is offensive or discriminatory. If we refuse before production has begun, the payment is refunded in full.

5.5 What we do not do with your files

  • We do not sell, transfer or share them with any third party
  • We do not use them for other customers' orders
  • We do not publish photos of the work on social media without your prior approval

5.6 Storage and loss of files

Files are kept for up to 12 months from the completion of the order, for the purpose of a reprint or repair, and are deleted afterwards. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

This storage is not a backup service. We accept no liability for loss, corruption or damage to a file. Keep an original copy yourself.

5.7 File quality

We print what we receive. If the file you supply is faulty, not watertight, has walls that are too thin or geometry unsuitable for printing — we will tell you in advance where this is detectable, but we are not responsible for a poor result caused by a defect in the file itself.

6. Marketing messages

Marketing messages are sent only after you have given explicit consent, in accordance with section 30A of the Israeli Communications (Telecommunications and Broadcasts) Law, 5742-1982. Every message contains a one-click unsubscribe option. Operational messages regarding an existing order are not marketing and will be sent in any event.

7. Cookies

The site uses cookies that are essential to its operation (cart, login, security), and analytics and marketing cookies subject to your consent. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may impair the site's function.

8. Sharing information with third parties

We do not sell personal information. Sharing takes place only to the extent required, with:

  • Shopify — the store platform and data hosting
  • The payment provider — for payment processing
  • Courier and postal companies — name, phone and delivery address only
  • Accountant / tax adviser — for reporting and bookkeeping
  • Competent authorities — where there is a legal obligation or a court order

Some service providers operate outside Israel, and information may be transferred to and stored on servers abroad. By using the service you consent to this transfer.

9. Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information — encrypted connection (SSL), restricted access and working with standards-compliant providers. That said, no system is entirely immune, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data retention

Business and accounting information is kept for the period required by law (generally 7 years). Files and photos — up to 12 months (section 5.6). Mailing list — until you unsubscribe.

11. Your rights

Under the Protection of Privacy Law and its regulations, you may review the information held about you, request correction of information that is incorrect or out of date, request deletion of information no longer required, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Requests are handled within 30 days.

12. Minors

The site is not intended for minors under the age of 18. An order placed by a minor requires the approval of a parent or guardian.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with an update date.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

This policy is governed by Israeli law only. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the competent courts of the Central District.
